Pilates Suit was first conceived in the spring of 2004. Long after Pilates became a household word, Ilter Ibrahimof, owner and founding partner, was in Pilates class at his neighborhood studio when he realized that his fellow Pilates practitioners had no clothing brand to call their own.After a call to relatives in Istanbul, Turkey, who were in the business of manufacturing high-quality organic cotton garments, Ilter knew he had the vision and resources to create a brand that the Pilates community could be proud of, and so he did.
